Many young men in Uganda feel called to be priests, but seminary is expensive. A few seminarians have asked us for help. Your gift – any amount – can keep a seminarian in formation.
When you sponsor a seminarian, your money goes into our account, then to the seminary to pay for tuition, room, board, and books. You will receive a letter from the seminarian and a photo.
“I am in my second year of philosophy. Without my sponsor, I would have had to leave. I pray for my sponsor every day.” – Br. Peter, seminarian in Kampala
Your support helps a future priest serve his community for life.
How it works
You give any amount. If you give less than the full cost, we combine your gift with others. We will tell you if you are the sole sponsor or part of a small group.
- Tuition and living expenses paid directly to the seminary
- You receive a photo, a short biography, and occasional letters
- You can send letters (monetary gifts for the seminarian are best given through us)
- The seminarian will pray for you
OKWAGALA For Children began in 2024. We are still small, still growing. We are not yet registered, but we are working on it. Every sponsor is part of our family. If you wish to visit your sponsored child, let us know – we will do our best to arrange it.
