Our Status
OKWAGALA For Children
We are a small, young foundation based in Uganda. We are not yet registered as a non‑profit. We are working on it and hope to complete the process soon. We believe in honesty – your gifts go directly to children, but at this time they are not tax‑deductible.
Our Commitment
Even without formal registration, we keep simple, clear records. Every donation is deposited into our Uganda bank account and then paid directly to a child’s school, or used to buy food, uniform, or supplies. We do not have big salaries or offices – most of us are volunteers.
How we handle money
Simple and honest
“We keep a simple ledger. When you donate, we record it. When we pay a school or buy supplies, we record that too. Once a year, we send you a short report showing how your gift was used. We are not experts – we are ordinary people trying to help.”
