Sponsor a Seminarian
Sponsor a seminarian in Uganda
Uganda needs good priests. But many young men who feel called to the priesthood cannot afford seminary fees. Through OKWAGALA, your gift – any amount – helps a seminarian stay in formation.
Your donation goes into OKWAGALA’s account, then directly to the seminary to cover tuition, room, board, and books. You receive letters and prayers from the seminarian.
What your support provides
Your gift supports a young man’s vocation – a ripple of grace that will last for years. It covers tuition, books, living expenses, meals, and transport. Most of all, it gives hope.
We are just beginning. The first seminarians we support will become priests who serve their own communities. Your gift makes that possible.
How seminarian sponsorship works
Give any amount you wish. If you give less than the full need, we combine your gift with other sponsors. We will always tell you if you are the sole sponsor or part of a group.
Sponsor your own seminarian
If you want to cover the full cost, you may. Otherwise, any gift is combined with others.
Co‑sponsor with friends
You and your family or friends can give together. OKWAGALA helps coordinate.
Partial sponsorship
Give any amount – no minimum, no maximum. We will combine your gift with others.
What you receive
Letters, photos, videos, a seminarian’s daily prayers, and a priest friend for life. Plus an annual statement of how your gift was used.
