OKWAGALA For Children is a Catholic lay apostolate based in Uganda. Our mission is to build sacred relationships of love by supporting children, seminarians, nuns, and the elderly through education, meals, and compassionate care – always with full transparency and no fixed donation amounts.
You can sponsor a child, seminarian, or nun; make a one‑time or recurring gift of any amount; start a GoFundMe campaign; advocate in your parish; volunteer remotely or in Uganda; or join a mission trip. Every gift, large or small, changes lives.
Donations are deposited into OKWAGALA’s Uganda bank account. We then disburse the funds directly to the child’s school, the seminary, or the religious congregation. You receive annual statements showing exactly how your gift was used – from tuition to meals.
Yes. OKWAGALA For Children is a registered non‑profit organization in Uganda. Donations are tax‑deductible as allowed under Ugandan law. We provide official receipts for all contributions.
You can volunteer in Uganda at our partner schools or remotely from home. Opportunities include teaching, writing, website help, grant writing, fundraising, and advocacy. Contact us at operations@okwagalaforchildren.org to get started.
