about me
Joseph Mukasa is a young man from Kampala who wanted to make a difference. He volunteers his time to visit the children we sponsor, check on their school attendance, and bring news to Mariam. He has no formal degree, but he has a heart that never tires.
Joseph is a motorcycle taxi driver (boda boda) by trade. He uses his free days to ride to the villages, deliver school supplies, and take photos of the children for sponsors. He speaks Luganda and local dialects.

Joseph has been called “the uncle of many children” by parents in the communities he serves.
Why we do this
We are ordinary people – some with jobs, some studying, some retired – who came together because we saw children in Uganda struggling to stay in school. We are not a big organisation. We are not yet registered. But we are honest. When you give through OKWAGALA, your money goes directly to the child’s school or family. We share simple reports. No fixed fees, no pressure – just love.
