about me
Sister Marie Goretti is a member of the Little Sisters of Saint Francis. She heard about our small foundation and offered to help connect us with nuns and seminarians who need support. She does this alongside her duties at a local school.
Sister Marie has been a teacher for many years. She uses her experience to advise us on the educational needs of children and young religious. She is based in Kampala and travels when needed.

Sister Marie is well‑loved in her congregation. She does not seek public recognition.
Why we do this
We are ordinary people – some with jobs, some studying, some retired – who came together because we saw children in Uganda struggling to stay in school. We are not a big organisation. We are not yet registered. But we are honest. When you give through OKWAGALA, your money goes directly to the child’s school or family. We share simple reports. No fixed fees, no pressure – just love.
